To the editor:
I am encouraging Madison County residents to vote Ann Jones for county clerk. I have known Ann Jones both professionally and personally for many years. Professionally, I enjoyed a working relationship with Ann when I was the executive director of the Madison County Office for the Aging.
There are many examples I could give of Ann’s ability to assist the seniors of Madison County but the one that stands out in my mind is when the voting machines were updated and Ann went from township to township educating voters on their use and how the votes were recorded.
Ann has a warmth about her that made the most hesitant elderly voter comfortable with the process. Personally, I can state without hesitation that Ann is the most honest, kind and considerate person I know. As county clerk, Ann would bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the position. She has the ability, skills and determination to safeguard vital Madison County resident information as well as continue the dedicated service of the Department of Motor Vehicles.
I urge Madison County residents to vote Ann Jones for county clerk on Nov. 5, I know I will.
