LIVERPOOL — The Liverpool Public Library program providers will be out in the garden a lot more come June, and they’ll be ready for patrons to come join them for the events that they’re able to share on the big lawn as we now move into the warmer season in the village of Liverpool.
Children and their families will have plenty to do on the Dinosaur Garden lawn in June.
Miss Alison will present her Story Time in the Garden at 10 a.m. each Wednesday, June 9, 16, 23 and 30, with stories and music specifically for kids up to 5. If you can’t get to the lawn, the sessions will go up on our Facebook page and YouTube channel shortly thereafter.
Also outside will be Nature Club on Thursday, June 17, the Book Buddies Book Club on Saturday, June 19, Liverpool Explorers, Imagination Station and Harry Potter Celebration on Tuesday, June 29, and Money Mammals on Wednesday, June 30. Homeschool STEAM Club meets Tuesday, June 8.
Tweens will be able to appreciate Tween Scene on the lawn every Wednesday during the month.
Adults will be able to attend the Books and Beyond more-than-a-book-club event outside at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 24, talking about the impact non-fiction work “Evicted: Poverty and Property in the American City” by Matthew Desmond can have on the community, their lives and in the bigger picture.
Events that have become Zoom staples online during the time of COVID-19 protocols remain, including monthly series for adults After Dinner Books on Thursday, June 3, Let’s Get Trivial on Monday, June 7, What’s Cookin’ on Monday, June 21, Armchair Adventures on Thursday, June 24, 55+ on Monday, June 28, and Keep Calm and Craft On on Tuesday, June 29.
The After Dinner crowd will discuss “The Vanishing Half” by Brit Bennet. What’s Cookin’ will tackle recipes by The Pioneer Woman, Ree Drummond. Armchair Adventures will feature a viewing of the POV documentary “Bill Nye: Science Guy.” 55+ will visit Sunshine Farms, where they rescue horses.
