CICERO — Northern Onondaga Public Library (NOPL) will be opening its doors alongside other county branch libraries for appointment-based services. All NOPL branches will be open for appointments starting Feb. 22 and will begin scheduling appointments the week prior.
To make an appointment call the library, visit NOPL.org, or use the myLIBRO mobile app through Google Play or Apple App Store. Computer and browsing appointments are scheduled separately. Computer appointments are limited to one hour and browsing for 30 minutes due to limited capacity in each library. The Preservation Studio at the Brewerton Library is also available for 1-hour appointments. The time limits allow for more patrons to use the library. Walk-ins will be accepted based on space. Please know that the health and safety of our staff and patrons is our first priority.
While inside the library, all members must wear a mask at all times and practice social distancing. You may browse our collections during your visit, use computers, pick up your holds, utilize Cicero’s notary service and our library’s copy and printing services. Our knowledgeable staff will be available to answer questions and help provide access to all of the available services.
Tax forms are available at all NOPL locations. Curbside services will remain available if you prefer contactless pickup. We are unable to offer AARP tax preparation services due to a shortage of volunteers. NOPL has created an Income Tax Toolkit to help navigate where to download forms, find tax preparation services, and find contact information and mailing addresses. Visit nopl.org/income-tax-toolkit to learn more.
If you need online access to file your taxes, NOPL has several new Tech Packs for borrowing. Each Tech Pack includes a WiFi hotspot with unlimited data, a laptop, and everything you need to get started. To place a hold request for a Tech Pack, call the library, Brewerton Library at 315-676-7484, Cicero Library at 315-699-2032, or North Syracuse Library at 315-458-6184.
