Library Buzz: February Fun at BPL!

We have several great programs for kids throughout the month of February, especially during mid-winter break. Come check us out!

Valentine’s Day Crafts (ages 3-5)

10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 7

Come make Valentines for your loved ones! This is a drop-in event, no registration required.

2nd Monday Club (grades 3-6): Candy Sushi

6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 10

Join us for pizza, games, and creating sushi out of Rice Krispies Treats, Swedish Fish, and other sweet snacks.  Registration required; 315-635-5631.

Teen Life Hacks (grades 7-12): Soap Making

6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 10

This week we will make different kinds of soap using soap bases, silicon molds, scents, colors, and more! Registration required; 315-635-5631.

Homeschool Hour: Delivery Zip Lines

2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12

Homeschoolers and their families are invited to join us for crafts and STEM activities for grades K-6! This month homeschoolers will be challenged to create a device that can carry items across a zip line. This is a drop-in event, no registration required.

Winter Crafts for Kids

2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18

Kids of all ages can drop in and make winter and snow themed crafts! other in a variety of chocolate themed challenges. This is a drop-in event, no registration required.

B’ville CoderDojo

6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18

CoderDojos are relaxed and fun programming clubs. Learn and play with coding in all kinds of ways: on laptops, using robots, creating video games or web pages.  Registration required; 315-635-5631.

Kid’s Tinker Lab: Electronics & Circuits

2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20

Drop in to experiment with Snap Circuits, Squishy Circuits, and Sam’s Lab Curious Cars! For grades 1-6. Other activities will be available in the room for younger siblings. This is a drop-in event, no registration required.

Messy Kid Art (ages 2-5): Finger Painting

10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21

Come prepared to get messy and make finger paintings. This is a drop in program, no registration is required. Kids are strongly encouraged to wear a smock or old clothing.

Teen Life Hacks (grades 7-12): Battle Bots

6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24

This week we will code Cue, GoPiGo, and Sphero robots and battle in an arena! Registration required; 315-635-5631.
