With the recent hiring of our new Young Adult Librarian Dania Souid, programming and services for teens are growing and we want input from YOU — our local teens.
Read below to learn more about a great new opportunity for your voice to be heard as well as some new programs planned for this fall.
Teen Advisory Board
Here’s your chance to help plan library programs, earn volunteer hours, meet new friends as well advise our staff on what books, movies and games you would like the library to purchase.
YA Librarian Dania Souid is putting together a Teen Advisory Board and wants your input.

Teen Life Hacks: Hack Your Life Every Week!
For grades 7-12. All Hacks begin at 6 p.m.

• Monday, Sept. 30: Survival Skills — Learn survival skills like map reading, basic first aid, as well as build and use slingshots.
• Monday, Oct. 7: Unleash Your Creativity — We will unleash our creativity! We’ll be making and designing pop sockets. We’ll also do watercolor pours on canvas.
• Monday, Oct. 14: Cooking Basics — Learn some basic cooking recipes. We will make layered salads in a jar and cheesecake in a jar. Mix your own flavors to make your new favorite meal.
