Town of DeWitt brush pick-up suspended
Please be advised, due to the COVID-19 virus and the need to protect town workers, the Town Highway Department is now operating with a skeleton crew; as such we are suspending the spring brush pick-up program until further notice.
The town is asking all residents to remove curbside brush as soon as possible.
According to an announcement from the town, is critical any and all brush be moved well off of all streets until further notice; brush in the street will cause storm drains to clog during spring rainstorms and exacerbate neighborhood flooding. Also, brush in the streets makes it difficult to clear roads during snow events.
The town will update residents on the brush pick-up as soon as the highway department is able to operate with a full crew.
