It was no ordinary “Pomp and Circumstance” as the sixth grade students marched into their socially distanced chairs at the graduation.
The sixth grade class of Danielle Paige and Madelyn Duffy held their graduation and ceremonies at Immaculate Conception School multipurpose parking lot following the mask and social distancing guidelines.
Fr. Thomas Ryan started with the opening prayers and made reference to the special circumstances that happened during the pandemic and sent his gratitude to the school principal, faculty and staff.
He also sent his gratitude to all the parents for their support, patience and understanding and to all the students for their resilience and trust through this pandemic.

I.C. school faculty gathered with social distancing to celebrate the graduates.
Special dedication of the yearbook to Spanish teacher, Maureen Mayberry was presented by Paige.
Special guests at the ceremonies were Fr. Chris Ballard and Fr. Zach Miller.
Also present were Monsignor Ronald Bill and Fr. Philip Hearn during the ceremonies and with parents listening to the announcements in their radios while staying in their parked cars.
Special awards were announced and the certificates were given to each of the graduates at the end of the ceremony.
Also the winner of the tuition raffle was selected on Tuesday at a small, socially distant ceremony in front of the school.
Drawing and reading the winning name were the sponsors of the raffle, Tom Kinsella of Kinsella Quarries, and Joe Convertiono of C.H. Insurance.
The winner of one year of tuition is Mark Daly.
Daly is starting at I.C., this September after moving to the area from downstate and is entering third grade.
Daly’s parents, Dante and Veronika Daly, are thrilled and are looking forward to being a part of the I.C. Family.
The school extended its thanks to everyone who participated in this tuition raffle.
Raffle tickets sales and donations toward the raffle totaled $8,425.
All the names of enrolled students from kindergarten thru sixth grade were included in the raffle.
Certificates of Gratitude were given to the two tuition raffle sponsors.
