Dominic J. Paglia, 20, of Cazenovia, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, Oct. 24, 2021. Dominic was born May 15, 2001, in Wheat Ridge, CO, to Thomas and Regina Paglia.
He was a graduate of Cazenovia High School in 2019, where he played third base, shortstop, pitcher and center field on their baseball team and, as a leader among his peers, was voted captain of the hockey team. He also played travel baseball in the Syracuse area for Valley Babe Ruth and travel hockey for Center State.
Dominic was currently attending Siena College where he was junior majoring in marketing, with a concentration in applied leadership. He enjoyed playing his guitar and will be remembered as a true friend with a love for life, a quick wit, great sense of humor, an engaging smile, friendly demeanor and always being there to support his family, friends and their parents. He will be greatly missed. During his time working at The Brewster Inn, Dominic was a hard worker who took on whatever task was given to him. He was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church.
Dominic is survived by his parents, Thomas J. and Regina L. Paglia; his sister, Erin L. Paglia; his brother, Vincent T. Paglia all of Cazenovia; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins from outside the area, as well as many close friends. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Joseph and Helen Paglia and Eugene and Betty Kleve; two uncles and one aunt.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Monday, Nov. 1, 2021, at St. James Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery, Cazenovia. Calling hours will be held from 2 to 5 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 31, 2021, at St. James Catholic Church, 6 Green St. in Cazenovia.
