Beverly Cross Bender of Sun Lakes, Arizona, died Nov. 19, 2016. Born in Upstate New York on Oct. 19, 1922, Beverly spent most of her life in Fayetteville with her husband of 71 years, Robert F. Bender.
Beverly enjoyed working for the East Syracuse Minoa School District, sewing, cooking, and dancing with the Sullivan Squares.
After her husband’s retirement from the Fayetteville Manlius School District, Beverly and Robert enjoyed traveling around the country before settling in Sun Lakes, AZ. While there, Beverly enjoyed volunteering for the Chandler Hospital and visiting with family and friends.
She is survived by Robert, four children: Susan Bennett, Carol Bender, Donna (Arthur) Meyers, Douglas Bender, nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
