James G. Cohen, 65, of Camillus passed unexpectedly Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2016. Born in Newark, NJ, he graduated from Kean College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. Jim was a long time resident of Camillus and recently retired from the insurance industry where he worked for 36 years. A private person with a wicked sense of humor, he was known for his Sunday Night Meatball Dinners with his family, who he loved dearly.
He is survived by his lovely wife of 10 years Patricia “Trish” Lowney; his sons, Daniel J. (Debbie) and Brian D. both of Camillus; his daughter Jessica L. (Annemarie Ross) of Rochester; his sister Nancy (John) Domzalski and his brother Howard (Monica) of New Jersey; and two beloved grandchildren, Margaret and Ryan. A caring father, a devoted grandfather and a wonderful husband, he will be truly missed.
