The Baldwinsville Public Library will hold its annual budget vote and trustee election from 9a.m. to 9p.m. Thursday, April 25, 2019, in the library at 33 E. Genesee St. in the village of Baldwinsville.
The proposed library budget for 2019-2020 is $1,591,800 with $1,460,250 to be raised by property taxes. It is anticipated that the proposed budget will not result in an increase in the tax rate.
Voters will also have an opportunity to cast their ballot for one trustee position. The five-year term for the seat currently held by Linda Clarkson is up for election.
Any person who is a U.S. citizen, 18 years of age or older and has been Baldwinsville School District residents for at least the 30 days prior to April 25, 2019, is eligible to vote on the budget and trustee position.
Absentee ballot applications and the ballots are available at the Baldwinsville Public Library or may be obtained via U.S. Mail by calling the library at 315-635-5631. Absentee ballot applications may be returned via U.S. Mail postmarked by midnight April 18, 2019, or delivered to the library in person by 9 p.m. April 18, 2019.
The actual ballots must be received at the library by 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 25, 2019.
