To the editor:
I am a town of Salina resident in support of Judge Anthony LaValle for Salina Town Justice, and I’m here to tell you why.
Last week, I was injured outside my home when my dog ran and its leash cut through my ankle. The pain and blood were extreme so I called my neighbor for a ride to the hospital. I waited outside for my ride and along walks a gentleman campaigning for Salina town justice.
I told him of my situation and he offered to close up my garage door and lock up my home as I was unable to walk and do so by myself. After he locked up, he offered to give me a ride to the emergency room. I told him I had a ride coming so he gave me his cell phone number and said if my ride didn’t come, to call him and he would come back and take me to the hospital. I was very grateful and called him the next day to thank him.
This is the type of person I can support — how about you?
