For over 43 years the Greater Liverpool Chamber of Commerce has played a role in recognizing the greatness of the greater Liverpool community, which includes the village of Liverpool and the towns of Salina and Clay.
In honor of that greatness, the chamber is celebrating over 55 members who have been with the chamber for more than 25 years. The celebration will begin at 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, at the Elks Club on 3730 Cold Springs Road. Admission is $15; RSVP is required. We thank our sponsor Powers Accounting for this celebration.
In looking back at the roster dating back to 1975 we find names like Antelmi, Bresee, Hurst, Helmetag, Harder, Landers, Hennigan, Melvin, Piraino, Dunstone and Lindberg. Any of these sound familiar?
Businesses and member names from the roster are still around in the present chamber Chuck Taylor’s Body Shop, John Landers, Liverpool Lumber, Liverpool Village Animal Hospital, Maurer Funeral Home, Merchants National Bank, (M&T), Nichols, Seneca Federal Savings and Eagle Newspapers.
Some of the other businesses still around from those days are: Bayberry Uniform, Key Bank, Liverpool Public Library, the North Area YMCA and Liverpool Chiropractic.
The chamber and its membership has grown from the early days when it was the Men’s Merchants group of Liverpool.
We want to invite the whole community to celebrate with us on May 14. These businesses help make it so “Liverpool Is the Place” to live and take care of business. Call the chamber at 315-457-3895 or visit liverpoolchamber.com to register for this event.
