Baldwinsville — On Dec. 17, the directors of Empire State Development (ESD) approved the sale of a 28.79 acre parcel of vacant land it owns in the Radisson Corporate Park in the town of Lysander to the Baldwinsville Central School District for the purchase price of $210,000.
The Baldwinsville Central School District’s Board of Education approved the purchase of the land at its Dec. 21 regular meeting. The board also approved the district’s proposal for a capital project that will include the construction of a new transportation facility on the land in the corporate park in order to replace the district’s current 70-year-old facility that is located in the village of Baldwinsville and is too small to maintain the district’s current fleet of over 150 vehicles.
The sale of the land is contingent upon voter approval of the district’s capital project. The project will go before district residents for a vote on Feb. 9, 2016, from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the small gym of Baker High School.
