Clay — Great Northern Mall is in the giving mood this holiday season. The mall has partnered with The Salvation Army and Toys for Tots to encourage shoppers to donate items to children in need. Great Northern Mall will also be giving away $250 daily in mall retailer gift cards and four $1,000 shopping sprees to guests this month. See details on each of the holiday giving promotions below.
The Salvation Army Angel Tree
The Salvation Army Angel Tree is in Center Court at Great Northern Mall now through Dec. 24 to help bring the magic of Christmas to children in the community. To reward shoppers who support the Salvation Army, Great Northern Mall is offering the first 150 people who donate a gift to the Angel Tree Program a $20 gift card good at a mall retailer. The Salvation Army Angel Tree Program provides thousands of American children with the excitement of a gift under their tree each year. The Angel Tree is decorated with numbered paper angel tags with the first name, age and gender of a child in need. Contributors remove one or more tags from the tree and purchase appropriate gifts for the child or children described on the tags.
Marine Toys for Tots Foundation
Great Northern Mall is also partnering with the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. Through Dec. 20, Toys for Tots will have tables set up in Center Court at the mall to accept toy donations. To thank guests who donate to Toys for Tots, Great Northern Mall will be giving a $20 gift card to the first 250 people who donate. Marine Toys for Tots Foundation’s goal is to deliver a message of hope to less fortunate children and assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.
Shopping Spree Giveaways
As a thank-you for shopping at Great Northern Mall, guests are invited to drop their name in an “Enter-To-Win” box to be eligible to win one of 29 prizes ranging from $250 in mall retailer gift cards to $1,000 in gift cards. Now through Dec. 28, Great Northern Mall will choose one person each day to win $250 in gift cards good at select stores in the mall. In addition to the daily giveaways, the mall will choose one winner every Monday through Dec. 28 to win $1,000 in gift cards. Winners of the shopping sprees will be contacted by phone to claim their prize. One entry per person, per day.

Great Northern Mall will also be extending their hours for the holiday season. From Dec. 21 to 23, Great Northern Mall will be open from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. and from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Santa Claus will also be in the Sears Wing for pictures and visits until Dec. 24.
