Proud dog-owners dressed up their pups and strutted their stuff for the Friday Aug. 27 Doggie Fashion Show at Memorial Park sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce, which invited contestants to “strut your mutt.”
Among the dogs were four rescue dogs found through rescueme.com, Craig’s List, Wanderers’ Rest and a person-to-person exchange.
Cazenovia Republican sales representative Jeanette Michael attended the event with her dog, Chelsea. To Michael’s surprise, Chelsea took best in show.
“I was not expecting anything,” Michael said.
This was the second annual Doggie Fashion Show sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce and was part of “Finally Friday.” On the last Friday of the month, village shops keep their stores open late with special sales and events. For a full list of winners, keep visiting our website!
