Jacob Stowell, a senior at Cazenovia High School, has been selected as the Cazenovia Lions Club Student of the Month for May, 2016. Jacob is the son Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Stowell of Cazenovia.
Jacob was nominated by faculty member Timothy Mascari as follows:
“One of my special education students misplaced his phone one day at school. We waited a couple days in hopes that it would be found and returned. After a few days, the hope for finding his phone was very slim. Jake, out of the kindness of his heart, brought in an old phone for my student to use. It not only made my student’s day, but speaks to the character that Jake possesses. It was an amazing gesture that was not necessary but done anyway.”
The Cazenovia Lions Club is pleased to recognize Jacob for his community/school service.
Student of the Month nominations can be made by students, school staff members, parents or community members. Nomination forms are available from the Assistant Principal’s Office at Cazenovia High School or from the Cazenovia Lions Club.
