The Skaneateles Garden Club recently welcomed in their new board at a luncheon and program at the Skaneateles Country Club.
Past President Priscilla Pultz, who served from 1993 to 1995, installed the 2023-2024 executive board consisting of Nancy Rudl, president, Renée Brown, vice president, Susan Hayden, second vice president, Diane Boden, recording secretary, Nancy Easter, treasurer, and Diane Steckel, corresponding secretary.
Following the luncheon, Carol T. Bradford former garden writer for the Post Standard presented a program on “Spring Gardens in Japan” with a slide show and talk.
A raffle was held following the program to raise money for the “Civic Fund” which goes towards the beautification of our village.
The garden club takes care of arboretums located around the village; seasonal changing of the library flower boxes, the maintenance for the hanging baskets that adorn the downtown district; planted 50 crab apple trees at Austin Park, the large urn in Clift Park dedicated to long time member, Shirley Feldman; former member P.J. Lemp Garden at the library, pollinator garden at the Community Center; the preparation of the crèche for the annual dedication to name a few.

The event will be held at the Skaneateles Country Club on Friday, June 23.
Registration is at 11 a.m. and there will be a raffle of items following a buffet luncheon and program.
