MARCELLUS — The Friends of the Marcellus Free Library are holding their Olde Home Days Basket Raffle at the library during the month of May.
The pandemic has impacted the group’s ability to have this important fundraiser for the library for the past two years.
This year, there may be fewer baskets than “usual,” but the eight baskets the Friends do have have a lot to offer.
There is a jam-packed Dumbo sized Disney basket, an American Girl Doll with clothing and accessories basket, a four one-day tickets to Legoland, NY and Lego kits basket, a Boeheim signed basketball and Marcellus Hoopla Basketball Camp Basket, a Baltimore Woods and gardening basket, a knitting canvas tote stuffed with yarn and accessories basket, a kitchen basket with kitchen items and gift card to Marshalls, and a Lauren Doll with wardrobe basket.
These baskets are on display in the library throughout the month of May.
All proceeds go to the Summer Reading Program at the library.
Tickets are $2 for 1 ticket, $5 for 3 tickets, $10 for 7 tickets, and $20 for 20 tickets.
Tickets are available at the library during regular hours. Drawing will be on Monday, June 6 after the Olde Home Days weekend.
The Olde Home Days Book Sale will be held on Friday, June 3 from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday June 4 from 10 to 5 p.m. and Sunday June 5 from 1 to 5 p.m. upstairs in the library’s community room.
Friday’s admission is $5 for this Early Bird Sale – a chance to get the best selection.
Friends of Marcellus Free Library members are admitted free, with membership available at the door for $10.
No admission fee for Saturday and Sunday.
Sunday’s sale will be a $5 Bag Sale with the Bag Sale continuing downstairs in the lobby the following week.
