BALDWINSVILLE — You can help improve local broadband internet access for all who live and work in Central New York by filling out a short questionnaire sponsored by the CNY Regional Planning & Development Board in partnership with Cayuga, Cortland, Madison, Onondaga, and Oswego counties and ECC Technologies, LLC.
Available through July 31, this 5-minute survey will identify:
- Underserved areas in the region
- Affordability of current options
- Speed and efficiency of internet options
Results obtained will help improve connectivity for all who live in Central New York. You can either complete the survey online at cnyinternet.com or pick up a paper copy at BPL. Paper surveys may be returned to the library. Thank you for your participation.
Emergency Broadband Benefit Program
The Emergency Broadband Benefit Program is a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) program that provides a temporary discount on monthly broadband bills for qualifying low-income households. If your household is eligible, you can receive:
- Up to a $50 per month discount on your broadband service and associated equipment rentals
- Up to a $75 per month discount if your household is on qualifying Tribal lands
- A one-time discount of up to $100 for a laptop, tablet, or desktop computer (with a co-payment of more than $10 but less than $50)

BPL under construction
Previously scheduled to begin the week of May 3, Baldwinsville Public Library’s Parking Lot Renovation Project will begin on Monday, May 17. The library will remain open throughout the project and entrance to the building will be through the door on Virginia Street (across from Kinney Drugs).
