CAMILLUS — West Genesee High School had five students participate in the 2020-2021 Optimist International Essay Contest sponsored by our local Camillus Optimist Club.
“Reaching your Dreams by Choosing Optimism” was the topic this year.
Morgan Valerino placed first and her essay will be submitted to the next level of competition.
The remaining students who will be receiving local recognition from the Camillus Optimist Club are: Logan Battaglia, Lauren Puchta, Lia Rice, and Marta Hevko.
This is the third year that the Camillus Optimists have sponsored this event, and school thanks the Camillus Optimists for all that they do for the community.
