In light of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the Cazenovia Fire Department has announced the cancellation of its annual fundraising event, featuring Nik and the Nice Guys, scheduled for June 6.
“The health and financial stability of our supporters is our number one concern,” said Fire Chief Tim Parisou.
Corporate sponsors who made tax-deductible donations and wish to be refunded are asked to call the Cazenovia Fire Department at 315-655-2834.
“We greatly appreciate your support and understand your request for refunds,” said Parisou. “When we are able to get back to our normal ways of life, the Fire Department may look at a direct mailing fundraiser, and as always, your support is greatly appreciated.”
According to the chief, the fire department is currently seeking volunteers.
“For those who are looking to volunteer, your support can be of critical use to your local Fire Department, Auxiliary or Ambulance Corp,” Parisou said. “By joining today you can help make a significant difference in the lives of others in need. The members of the Cazenovia Fire Department wish all our friends, neighbors and supporters good health during these trying times.”
