Albanese and Liedka elected to East Syracuse Board of Trustees

Mayor and village justice reelected in unopposed races

According to unofficial results of the Nov. 7 East Syracuse elections, Advance East Syracuse Party candidates Mary Albanese and Kim Liedka have been elected to the board of trustees, beating out three other candidates for the seat.

Liedka gained 308 votes and Albanese 295 to win the two open seats. Incumbent People’s Party candidate Dan Wagner lost his seat with 123 votes, and People’s Party candidate Liz Landry gained 120 votes and For the Village Party candidate Dom Celletti received 122 votes.

Incumbent Mayor Robert Tackman, of the People’s Party, was reelected with no opposition to the position he has served since 2013 with 299 votes. Incumbent Village Justice Joseph Zavaglia, also of the People’s Party, was also reelected to his seat unopposed with 451 votes.
