Last spring, the Cazenovia Area Community Development Association (CACDA) conducted a survey of the community to determine what goods and services are desired locally. The survey specifically asked whether respondents would be interested in participating in a co-working opportunity if it were available in Cazenovia. The response was positive and, as a result, CACDA has begun to explore local possibilities.
Co-working includes sharing office space and resources like printers, internet and meeting space. It can be an ideal situation for consultants, telecommuters and freelancers. It allows for networking and interacting with other professionals while not being tied to an expensive lease for office space. It can range from basic workstations to private offices. Amenities can vary depending on the needs of the participants.
Anyone interested in finding out more about co-working in Cazenovia is invited attend an information session at 7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 13, in the Cazenovia Public Library community room. Those unable to attend but interested in providing input may take the survey available at cacda.net.
