With only two weeks left in the voting for Budget Travel’s 2014 Coolest Small Towns in America contest, Cazenovia remains in second place — three percent behind Berlin, Md., at press time — after an impressive jump up from fifth place when the contest began in January.
Cazenovia’s voting rise was so meteoric, in fact, the editors at Budget Travel even blogged about our “impressive leap” on Feb. 4: “Wow! Cazenovia, NY, has rocketed to second place in our Coolest Small Town 2014 contest, passing (at least for now!) the folks in Buckhannon, Va., who had held first or second place since the contest began in mid-January,” the blog stated.
In a field of nearly 500 nominations and thousands of votes from across the U.S., Cazenovia was named one of only 15 finalists and was the only town in New York state and the entire Northeast to make it.
Voting for the Coolest Small Town in America contest runs until Feb. 25, and people may vote once a day every day (monitored per IP address) — and they don’t have to be from Cazenovia to vote for us. So everyone get on your PCs, iPhones, iPads, laptop and every other electronic device you have; post on your personal Facebook page and ask every family member, friend, acquaintance and old-high-school-classmate-that-you-really-don’t-know-but-are-Facebook-friends-with-anyway and tell them to help us out and vote every day!
We can do this Caz, and when we win we will give our wonderful little town some great exposure and publicity! Vote every day at Budgettravel.com.
