In order to stay undefeated, the Baldwinsville girls bowling team had to survive a scare from West Genesee last Tuesday afternoon before emerging with a 2-1 victory over the Wildcats, just the start of a glorious week for both of the Bees’ bowling sides.
Once again, Britni Flask and Taeler Kuss led the way. Flask shot a 203 high game on her way to a steady three-game total of 571, while Kuss posted a 200 in her 521 set. Morgan Nichols led WG’s efforts with a 452 series and 201 high game.
B’ville’s boys would get a 3-0 sweep of West Genesee, though. Delsean Griffith finished with a 575 series, aided by a 231 high game, while Tyler Watchus got a 545 set that included a best game of 221. Justin Taylor paced the Wildcats with a 505 series and 195 high game.
A day later, against Liverpool, the Bees earned a pair of 3-0 sweeps over the Warriors. The boys match saw Frank Mento pick up a 601 series, while Griffith, bolstered by a 224 high game, finished with a three-game total of 581.
During the girls Bees’ 3-0 sweep, Flask had one of her best outings of the season, shooting a 656 series that included a 232 high game. Kuss improved, too, getting a three-game total of 556 and a high game of 182.
Back home Friday for a match against Cicero-North Syracuse, the boys Bees faced a serious challenge, but rose up to it and beat the Northstars 3-0.
Jarrod Williams stepped up in a big way with a top game of 264 on his way to a 636 series, while Billy Clifford, bolstered by a 236 high game, finished with a three-game total of 651. Nick Joss led C-NS with a 557 set.
B’ville’s girls also swept C-NS 3-0, watching Flask put up her best game of the season, a 266, that led to a 628 series as Kuss shot a 222 on her way to a 558 set. No Northstars player could top the 532 set of Kaitlin Antineli.
