Lysander officials have scheduled a second informational meeting for the proposed expansion of Whispering Oaks Sewer District, which will create the West Genesee Expansion Sewer District no. 2. The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 26, at the Lysander Town Hall, 8220 Loop Road, Radisson.
The first public hearing was held Monday, March 26. Officials said there were funds left over from the grant the Whispering Oaks Sewer District initially received. Those funds could be used to cover the pump expense for homeowners. However, each homeowner would have to cover the cost of installation, as well as annual district fees.
Before proceeding, officials need to determine homeowner interest. If there is an interest, officials will order an engineering study/map plan report.
