A man staying at an East Syracuse motel has been charged in connection to a morning drive-by shooting in Granby, Oswego County.
Eric Gardner, 28, who was staying at the Motel 6 in East Syracuse, was charged this afternoon. Police say he shot five rounds into a Granby home around 4 a.m., nearly striking an 11-year-old child.
Gardner was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. Police say he had a handgun that was reported stolen from the town of Hastings in 2009.
He was arraigned in town of DeWitt court and remanded in lieu of $100,000 cash or $200,000 bond. Additional charges are pending in Oswego County after police are done investigating what happened in Granby.
