We’ve been lucky so far this winter in terms of snow accumulation, which is good for local budgets.
A few towns said a while back they intend to not plow county roads as a cost-cutting measure.
Recently, DeWitt and Manlius released lists of the roads they will no longer plow.
The following streets in DeWitt will not be plowed by the town:
—Franklin Park Drive
—Tecumseh Road
—Old Stonehouse Road
—Nottingham Road
—Quintard Road
—Jamesville Road, from Genesee Street to the intersection of Nottingham Road
—Kimber Road, from the Tecumseh Road intersection to the flashing light
In Manlius, the list is as follows:
—North School Road
—Peck Road
—South School Road
—Highbridge Street
—Highbridge/Woodchuck Hill
—Palmer Road
—Salt Springs
—Sweet Road
—Troop K Road
