Success in relays, along with some individual breakthroughs, helped the Liverpool boys swim team as it went to Baldwinsville Thursday night and beat the Bees 55-38.
Immediately, the Warriors went to the front when Dan Hens, Drew Nann, Nick Burdo and Nick Alsever posted a winning time of 1:49.40 in the 200 medley relay.
Hens, on his own, would post a strong effort in the 100 freestyle, prevailing in 51.23 seconds, while Liam Henry needed 5:49.35 to get first place in the 500 freestyle. Marc Alessi swam the 50 freestyle in 25.50 seconds and Garrett Clarke needed just 1:02.05 to win the 100 breaststroke.
Henry and Burdo would return in the 200 medley relay, helping Brian Alsever and Dan Griffin earn another title in 1:39.16. B’ville’s Dan Burke led his side with victories in the 100 backstroke (55.73 seconds) and 200 individual medley (2:05.94).
A day earlier, Cicero-North Syracuse lost to Fayetteville-Manlius 101-69. Billy Werksman earned 234.00 points on the diving board and also won the 100 backstroke in 1:05.66. Hornets star Kevn Koh took the 100 butterfly in 53.05 seconds and tore through the 200 freestyle in 1:49.04.
