Come January, there will be plenty of changes for the Camillus Village Board.
Interim mayor Bridget Yule will remain on the board, appointed by mayor-elect Patricia Butler. Yule will be taking the spot of Anthony Komuda, Jr., who was re-elected to the board in November. He has since decided not to take the position and Yule will fill that position, Butler said. Yule will also take the position of deputy mayor.
In the village office, former clerk Sharon Norcross will return. She will be taking the position currently held by Marie Stanczyk, who took over for Norcross in April 2007. Norcross took Stanczyk’s position at the village of Phoenix offices.
The change will be made for “organizational reasons,” Butler said. She reached out to Norcross to return to the village.
The village attorney position will be filled by Robert Allen, of Camillus, replacing Steven Primo of East Syracuse.
Butler also intends to move from one to two board meetings per month in February.
“We have a new board, new board members and in order to keep transparency and communication for all of the community, I really believe we need to resume having two meetings a month,” Butler said. “At least for now, so they can understand the scope of their job, we can all start to understand the scope of our job and what the community needs from us.
The board is tentatively scheduled to have a reorganizational meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12.
