MaineSource Food & Party Warehouse announced the planned consolidation of its Camillus store location into the North Syracuse store. The North Syracuse location will be expanded with the move.
“We are always evaluating our markets to identify opportunities to strengthen our market share” said Steve Ross, vice president in charge of MaineSource. “After long consideration and much analysis, we have determined that our best opportunity to enhance our presence in the Syracuse market is through this consolidation.”
Ross said the hardest part of the decision to consolidate was the impact on the store’s dedicate employees and loyal customers in Camillus.
“In order to lessen the impact of this action, we will be offering the opportunity for our associates to transfer to one of our other five MaineSource locations,” he said. “We will also be doing all that we can to transition our customers to our North Syracuse location.”
The North Syracuse location will add a new deli counter carrying various fresh cut meats, cheeses and prepared foods. There will also be a test kitchen added to this location to allow culinary staff to work with restaurant and other food service customers in development of new offerings for the store’s menus.
