The Skunk City Initiative 3,000 Daffodil & Tulip Bulb free giveaway is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, at the Mundy Branch Library, 1204 S. Geddes St., corner of Rowland St. There will also be crafts for kids.
“This is only our second attempt to beautify these streets with flowering spring bulbs,” said organizer Shirley Humble. A variety of bulbs will be donated to Providence House, the senior living center where many former area residents now live, Humble said; 476-1820.
