Ellen Leahy, award-winning journalist and photographer (and former editor of the City Eagle and Skaneateles Press), switched gears this spring to become operating partner at bc restaurant downtown. Pulled Into Syracuse columnist Josef Lorenz listed his top-five food apps for mobile phones (plus one honorable mention), and we’re inclined to take this guy’s opinion seriously. Lorenz spent the last few months as the sole judge of a self-imposed hot wing tournament that started began with 16 Syracuse wing joints in four different neighborhood brackets – and has lived to tell the tale (and crown one the winner of the tournament).
