Two guided bike rides through the city will kick off from the MOST Sunday morning as part of the Onondaga County Health Department’s “Cycle in the City” event.
Both rides — a three-mile route for ages 8 and older, and a 10-mile ride for ages 12 and older — depart from the MOST at 10 a.m. Registration begins at 9 a.m.
The free Cycle in the City event will also feature a bike rodeo for kids to learn bike safety skills, a helmet fitting station, bike helmet give-aways (while supplies last) and free “Share the Road” t-shirts for participants. The MOST will host activities on the front lawn of the museum.
The event is part of the health department’s “Creating Healthy Places to Live, Work and Play Program,” and aims to raise awareness and support for bikeable communities.
