The Green Party of Onondaga County will hold its first member meeting since regaining ballot status at 5 p.m. Saturday April 30 at
ArtRage Gallery, 505 Hawley Ave.
The meeting is open to Green Party members or residents interested in becoming a member of the party. The event will be an opportunity for new members to register with the Green Party, and for the party to update its stances on key issues like hydrofracking and public power.
Onondaga County Green Party organizer Howie Hawkins won ballot status for the party in his 2010 bid for state governor. The party received more than 59,000 votes in the gubernatorial election; 50,000 votes are required for a party to gain a ballot line.
