The Historic Galeville Grocery in Salina has been torn down to make way for a new Byrne Dairy. In a video released by the town on March 8, Salina Supervisor Mark Nicotra talks with Salina Historian Dorianne Gutierrez about the history of the grocery store.
“There aren’t many remnants left of what made Salina great,” said Salina Town Historian Dorianne Gutierrez. “The Galeville grocery is one of the last visible remnants left of that unique history.”
