The towns of Lysander and Van Buren are considering co-applying for a community development grant to make improvements to Canton Woods Senior Center’s kitchen and bathroom facilities. Lysander officials said a preliminary estimate for the project, considering the grant’s strict parameters, is $65,000. Officials also discussed cheaper alternatives to the grant that would update the facility.
Other projects for both towns are also being considered. Officials will need to determine which projects to pursue by the grant deadline of March 11.
