Parents, students, district employees and community members will have an opportunity next week to meet and interact with the two finalists for the Syracuse City School District superintendent position.
The SCSD announced Tuesday that it will hold a public reception at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday March 1 to introduce the first finalist, and a second reception at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday March 2 to introduce the second. Both events will be held at Corcoran High School, 919 Glenwood Ave.
The gatherings will allow community members to speak with the candidates and provide feedback to the Board of Education about their selections, the district said in a press release.
The district will release the name of the first finalist on Sunday Feb. 27. The second finalist will be named March 1.
The search for a candidate to replace retiring Superintendent Daniel G. Lowengard began last year.
