A public hearing regarding the 2011 Community Development grant application and proposed projects in eligible areas of the town of Van Buren will be held at 7:32 p.m. March 1 at the Van Buren town hall, corner of Ellsworth and Van Buren roads.
Lysander re-appoints Carney
Lysander officials re-appointed Thomas Carney of Phoenix to the Assessment Board of Review for a five-year term effective through Sept. 30, 2015.
Village hires communications officer
Christine Gancarz was hired as a part-time communications officer with the Baldwinsville Police Department to begin Feb. 7. According to Police Chief Michael Lefancheck, the department received 200 resumes for the position, and Gancarz was the best qualified with 20 years of experience.
