Jazz saxophonist Javon Jackson will debut his original score for Alfred Hitchcock’s 1927 silent film, “The Lodger: A Story of the London Fog,” at the Syracuse International Film Festival’s Silent Film & Cool Jazz screening at 7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 15, at the Palace Theatre, 2384 James St., in Eastwood.
Loosely based on the case of Jack the Ripper, “The Lodger” depicts a hunt for a serial killer in gloomy London. Admission costs $20, or $15 for seniors, Le Moyne faculty and staff, and $10 for students.
