For over 30 years the Town of Manlius Recreation Department’s annual summer musical has grown to become one of the biggest community theatre events in Central New York.
This year they present Mel Brooks’ Tony Award winning musical “The Producers” with the talent of three Cazenovia residents leading the way.
Eric Feola, a Cazenovia resident and 2002 graduate of Cazenovia High School, stars as Leo Bloom, an accountant in pursuit of his dream to become a Broadway producer.
Feola has been involved with Town of Manlius musicals in the past as producer and this year steps into the spotlight for a show he calls “extraordinarily funny!”
Joining Feola on stage is John Melvin, of Cazenovia, as “renowned theatrical director” Roger DeBris. Also sharing the spotlight is Cazenovia High School senior Hannah Chanatry, who takes the stage as one of the production’s Broadway showgirls.
“The Producers” will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday July 16 and 17 and Friday and Saturday July 23 and 24 at Fayetteville-Manlius High School.
Reserved seating single ticket prices are $12 and are available online at manliusmusical.org, or by visiting the Town of Manlius Recreation Department on Brooklea Drive in Fayetteville.
“The Producers” also stars Michael-Dean Anderson as Max Bialystock, and features Stephen Mitchell, of Manlius, as Carmen Ghia, Patrick Pedro, of Manlius, as Franz Liebkind, and Chloe Tiso, of Manlius, as Ulla.
Ronald Hebert directs the show, with musical direction by Shawn Hebert, and choreography by Maria Pedro.
Mel Brooks’ “The Producers” contains some adult material and may not be suitable for all audiences.
