Newsweek just announced its list of America’s Best High Schools for 2010. Of the 1,623 schools chosen — just 6 percent of all U.S. public schools — six were in Central New York: Skaneateles (715), Corcoran (909), Jamesville-Dewitt (914), Fayetteville-Manlius (1,163), West Genesee (1,174) and Cazenovia (1,325).
According to Newsweek, picks were made “based on how hard school staffs work to challenge students with advanced-placement college-level courses and tests.”
