Someone stole Colin Aberdeen’s main axe, a yellow hollow-body Yamaha electric guitar, between 2:30 and 4 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 6. It happened downtown, apparently while the Los Blancos six-stringer loaded out of the Bull & Bear Pub at 125 E. Water St., in Hanover Square. When he arrived home he realized the instrument and it case weren’t in his car.
“Unable to reach anyone at the bar, I thought I left it at the club,” he said. But no: it’s gone! Aberdeen has owned that cherished guitar since 1988.
If anyone sees a blonde Yamaha SA2000 guitar, a copy of a Gibson 335, for sale on eBay, or Craigslist or on the street, call Aberdeen at 420-4144 or the Syracuse Police Department at 442-5111.
