Charlene Bozzi, organization capability and development manager at Welch Allyn (WA), was named one of Syracuse’s 40 Under 40 for 2009. The award, sponsored by M&T Bank, honors 40 local professionals under the age of 40 who have made significant contributions in the workplace and in the community.
Bozzi’s community involvement has been broad. She has been an active member of the Central New York Chapter of the American Society of Training & Development (ASTD) for more than 10 years. She serves on the board of directors for the Greater Strathmore Neighborhood Association, and has been involved with Leadership Greater Syracuse since going through the program in 2003. She has held leadership roles with ithe Corporate Volunteer Council of CNY, Learning Disabilities of CNY and the Girl Scouts Council of CNY.
Bozzi’s passion for community development extends into her professional life as she spends her days developing the capabilities of employees within the WA community. Bozzi is responsible for leadership and professional development for the organization globally.
Bozzi has more than 13 years of employee training and professional development experience. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Oswego and resides in Syracuse, with her husband Scott and their two young sons.
