County Executive Joanie Mahoney announced this morning that she has appointed former Clay Supervisor Mark Rupprecht to fulfill the term of Second District County Legislator Bernie Kraft, who died last week.
Mahoney said Rupprecht’s experience in the town of Clay made him an ideal candidate.
“Mark Rupprecht has government and budgetary experience that will give him the ability to walk right in and represent the residents of the town of Clay,” Mahoney said. “As their former town supervisor, he knows how government works, and he knows how budgets work.”
Rupprecht said he hoped he could adequately fill Kraft’s shoes.
“I am pleased to serve the residents of the Second Legislative District by filling in for my friend Bernie Kraft,” Rupprecht said. “We will all miss his passion and dedication and the job he did for the taxpayers.”
