The State Police at Morrisville investigated a serious personal injury auto accident that occurred at the intersection of East Lake Road and Stanley Road in the town of Cazenovia at about 7:20 p.m. May 31.
Michael Veator, age 20, of Manlius, was operating his Dodge Caliber North bound on East Lake Road in the town of Cazenovia when he veered off of the roadway and struck the driver’s side door of a Jeep Cherokee that was on Stanley road at the intersection with East Lake Road. The Jeep Cherokee was being operated by Jane Lafever, age 51, of Cazenovia.
Lafever was transported to SUNY-Upstate Hospital for internal injuries and is listed in serious condition
Veator was transported to Community General Hospital and treated for a minor injury to his knee and released.
Investigation into the cause of the accident is continuing. Charges are pending investigation.
State Police were assisted at the scene by Cazenovia PD, Cazenovia FD and CAVAC ambulance.
