Having seen other teams use its home facility for high purposes, the Baldwinsville boys swim team decided to have some fun of its own.
To be specific, the Bees broke some of its own marks during last Thursday night’s 50-40 victory over Rome Free Academy, which moved the team to 2-1 on the season.
In the 200 freestyle relay, B’ville’s quartet of Dan Ravas, Bob Hennessy, Chris Cadwell and Mick Tarsel posted a time of 1:33.84, which set a new Baker High School pool record.
Cadwell also won on his own, taking the 200 individual medley in a clocking of 2:14.62, while Hennessy needed 23.77 seconds to prevail in the 50 freestyle.
Tarsel and Ravas already had set a team mark when, in the 200 medley relay, they combined with Nolan Miles and Pat Whiting to win that race in 1:52.36.
Danny Burke just broke two minutes — 1:59.99, to be precise — while winning the 200 freestyle, while Nate Menapace won the 100 butterfly in 1:03.87. Tom Albuoy earned a time of 5:58.62 in the 500 freestyle.
B’ville is home again Tuesday night to face 2-0 West Genesee in its last meet of 2008.
