Lysander is taking their town board meetings on the road.
In an effort to reach more town residents, the board will hold their April 26 meeting to Jack’s Reef. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at Plainville Fire District’s Fire Station No. 2 on Plainville Road. The board also plans to hold traveling meetings for the second meetings of the month for June and August. Stay tuned.
Employees sought
Steve Garvey, a U.S. Census Recruiter, announced the U.S. Census department is seeking hundreds of temporary employees in Onondaga and Oswego counties to serve as enumerators who will go door-to-door to homes that don’t return census surveys by April.
The Census Bureau prefers to hire people who can work within their own community for better results. To apply you must be at least 18-years-old, a U.S. citizen and take a multiple-choice test. Anyone interested should call the local office at 1-866-861-2010.
