Eileen M. Price, of Skaneateles, passed away suddenly on Aug. 22, 2020.
Eileen had a way of seeing the best in others and making them feel valuable. A characteristic that she noticed in you was often the only perspective who saw that. She seemed to light up with children in particular, and never lost the little girl inside of her. Eileen enjoyed spending time on the lake, especially with family, and friends. She was interested in her community, often reading through the Skaneateles Press and pointing out to her family around the breakfast table areas they may have an interest. When she was immersed in a good book, the world around hardly existed.
Eileen was predeceased by her loving parents, Donald and Sylvia Price who each passed into life with Jesus in 2018. Our comfort comes in knowing she also believed.
Eileen graduated from Fairport High School. She then became a valuable family member working in her parent’s business in Auburn, N.Y., Lakeland Visual Aid, where prescription eyeglass lenses were engineered to their custom specifications. In later years Eileen may have offered a welcoming smile to you in the Deli of Tops Market in Skaneateles.
Eileen is survived by her sister, Debi (Jim) Murray of Palmyra, N.Y., and brothers: Don Price, and John (Molly) Price, both residing in Colorado. She is survived by her Aunt, Mary Evelyn Breslin, of Ambler, PA and Uncle Frank O’Donnell, of Lower Gwynedd, PA. She also leaves behind nephews: Sean and Michael Murray, Luke and Diego Price and nieces: Anna and Ellie Price, loving cousins and dear friends, far and near. Her kind, gentle spirit will be forever missed.
Donations in Eileen’s name may be made to the American Heart Association. Services were private due to the COVID-19.
